SKS Legal Group, P.A., was founded by Robert C. Streit, Esq. and Jordan C. Kay, Esq., who are cousins in addition to being law partners. Robert manages the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office in downtown Ft. Lauderdale and Jordan manages the firm’s Miami office located in Coconut Grove. Robert is licensed to practice in Florida, New Jersey and New York and his primary practice areas include commercial and business litigation, labor and employment law and general civil litigation.Jordan is a Florida Bar Board Certified Construction Attorney and his primary practice areas include construction litigation, contracts, design professional defense, liens/payment claims, project-related consulting, condominium and homeowner’s association law, insurance defense and copyright and trademark along with general civil litigation.

The “SKS” name has an interesting history as Robert and Jordan are both second generation descendants of the founders of a horse racing stable known as SKS Stable which owned numerous champion thoroughbred race horses from the late 1970’s through the 1990’s, including Florida Derby Champion and Kentucky Derby favorite, Lord Avie. Unfortunately, Lord Avie was unable to run in the Kentucky Derby as a result of a leg injury but his career was impressive nonetheless as he never finished a race out of the money. Robert and Jordan chose to continue the SKS legacy by naming their law firm in similar fashion and utilizing the colors and logo associated with SKS Stable.
