SKS Obtains Summary Judgment in Favor of Homeowners Discharging Invalid Claim of Lien.

SKS Legal Group prevailed on a Motion for Summary Judgment in Monroe County Circuit Court this week for homeowner clients in a lawsuit involving a home in Ocean Reef. The Summary Judgment discharged an invalid claim of lien where final payment was made to the lienor’s counsel, as agent for the lienor, prior to suit being filed, yet the lienor proceeded with the case claiming that a settlement had been reached wherein the lienor sought a mutual general release that had never been accepted or agreed by the homeowners.
